Methodology for city renovation at district level: innovative, integrated and open methodology for sustainable

Torrelago district in Laguna de Duero (Spain) is one of the three demonstration sites of the CITyFiED project, along with Lund (Sweden) and Soma (Turkey). There, the following measures were implemented.

CITyFiED approach is delivering innovation through the holistic energy-efficient renovation of Torrelago district, involving building retrofitting, district heating system upgrade, smart grid and monitoring platform, together with a sound business model that combines public and private financing and the citizens in the centre of the retrofitting process.
